Why do I learn R?
Here are my motivations:
- R is free.
- R is part of the Data Science Certification offered in coursera.
- R has a lot of libraries.
- Many resources available on the net.
- Oracle supports Oracle R engine (ORE)
- Apache Spark supports Spark R
- Microsoft also started invests in R. It acquired Revolution Analytics.
What are the disadvantages?
Some people said that R is not scale-able. Some people believe that Python will be the one. I feel that Python my be something I will learn.
